A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name, painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation, sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

Astraea
the last just goddess
There was a time when a goddess would sit at your table. That's what the Golden Age was, gods underfoot, justice a neighbor, Astraea walking the field rows with her scales, settling quarrels before they hardened. The others left early, when the bronze came, when the shouting started. She stayed longest. She kept believing the next season would be kinder, and then the one after, until finally there was a day, an ordinary day nobody marked, when she looked around and rose. The wheat in her hand still comes from here. She kept it.
Keep the seed even in a hard season, it's a promise by nature.
