A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name, painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation, sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

Chiron
the gentle centaur
Ask the ones he raised. Achilles remembered the lyre lessons, Asclepius remembered which root drew fever and which drew grief, all of them remembered that the wisest hands in Greece had hooves. Chiron taught heroes without ever needing to be one, which may be the rarer thing. When the poison took him and would not finish, his students could do nothing, all that healing he'd handed out and none of it fit his own wound. Teachers are like that, full pantries and empty tables. The sky at least noticed. It kept him whole.
Teaching what you know is a way of healing what you carry.
