A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name, painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation, sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

Aphrodite and Eros
the tied fish
The Euphrates has held a lot of things, but only once has it held love itself, two fish moving as one animal because a cord ran between them. When the danger passed and they came up changed back, the gods hung the picture in the sky as a reminder, two fish swimming apart, one west, one north, and the ribbon of stars between them pulled taut but never breaking. Whoever you are tied to, you already know. You can feel the tug when they turn.
You and yours can want different directions and still be tied, mind the cord, not the distance.
