First Heracles shot it, useless. Then the sword, useless, then the club broke. Somewhere in that cave he understood the assignment differently, nothing could pierce this thing, so piercing was off the table. He dropped it all and wrestled, arm and shoulder and held breath, force meeting force with nothing in between. Afterward even skinning it was impossible until he thought to use the lion's own claws. The whole labor was one lesson told twice, the answer was inside the problem all along.
