A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name — painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation — sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

A Mystic Card · the constellation over you now
Karkinos
the giant crab
Hera, still stung by the shame of him, cast her eye to the dark ocean floor. A whispered command found Karkinos, waiting, loyal, longing for purpose. To snap at a hero's heel, a small, sharp bite in the churning water and blood. Not glory, but a tiny offering to her vast, consuming rage. A small, doomed thing sent to claw at the edges of a legend. She watched it fall.
Sit with it for a moment. Where does this old story echo in your own week — the same boast, the same crossing, the same rescue arriving at the wrong moment and turning it right?
