A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name — painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation — sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

A Mystic Card · the constellation over you now
Callisto
the great bear
A nymph of the woods, Callisto knew only the bow, the quiet hunt. Until the god-king came, cloaked in her mistress's form, and the air split open. Hera’s rage followed, swift and cruel, twisting her into a lumbering bear, her own kin a hunter's arrow away. The sky caught her, not as she was, but as she became. A turn so absolute, a new form given, a new life among the stars. The great dipper, forever turning, a constant reminder of change.
Sit with it for a moment. Where does this old story echo in your own week — the same boast, the same crossing, the same rescue arriving at the wrong moment and turning it right?
