A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name — painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation — sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

A Mystic Card · the constellation over you now
Cassiopeia
the boastful queen
A queen, sitting on her velvet throne, her daughter’s beauty a shimmering jewel she held too tight. Cassiopeia, who dared whisper that her Andromeda outshone even the Nereids, those silver-skinned dancers of the ocean foam. The words, light as sea spray, carried deeper than she knew, stirring currents where ancient gods listened. A mother’s pride, a dangerous thing, reaching past the shore, into the deep, daring the very stars to argue.
Sit with it for a moment. Where does this old story echo in your own week — the same boast, the same crossing, the same rescue arriving at the wrong moment and turning it right?
