A reading-room window onto the sky
Mystic Cards
A Mystic Card takes the constellation riding highest over you right now, where you stand, and hands you the old Greek myth behind its name — painted in our own hand, with the constellation's realstars laid over it in their true positions. Draw what's near, or draw at random.
It isn't a fortune. It's an invitation — sit with an ancient story for a minute and notice what it echoes in your own week. The constellation overhead changes through the night and the seasons; or pick any of the 33 below.

Zeus
the bull
Zeus took the form of a white bull to carry Europa across the sea to Crete. The Pleiades and the Hyades cluster in his shoulders — daughters of two different mourners. The bull is half a god and half a kidnapping and half a continent's name.
Sit with it for a moment. Where does this old story echo in your own week — the same boast, the same crossing, the same rescue arriving at the wrong moment and turning it right?
