Upright
Three cups sit cooling on the table and a fourth is being offered, steaming, from just out of sight, and you are looking at none of them. This is the funk that will not lift its eyes, so fixed on the cup gone cold that it cannot see the fresh one held out. The card does not scold the mood. It only sets a warm cup near your hand and waits. The fourth one is right there.
Reversed
You lift your eyes at last and take the cup you had been refusing, from someone else or from your own Self, and the wanting to feel comes back. Or the warning turns: do not wave the offered cup away too fast. Look again.
In the imagery
A figure sits slumped in a dim corner of the apothecary, arms folded, three cups gone tepid at their feet among scattered dried petals. From a shelf in shadow a fourth cup steams, untouched, its gold light unseen. The unnoticed steam is the good thing offered while the eyes stay down.
