Upright
A rider crowned with laurel rides a white horse, one wand wreathed and held high. People follow on foot. The Six of Wands is public victory — the moment your work is seen, the announcement, the win. Stand in it without apologizing. You don't have to perform humility to be a decent person. Take the laurel. The crowd is there because you earned the ride.
Reversed
The laurel taken off, or never given. The Six of Wands reversed is the recognition that didn't come, or the recognition that came and felt empty. Sometimes it's the ego that's started taking the wins too personally, and starting to lose the people who got you there. The card asks where the real victory is — inside the work or only in the applause.
