Something small has just begun to want to live. The Ace of Bamboo, the suit of Wands, is the spark, the new idea you haven't said out loud yet, the pull you're shy to call by its true name. Take it seriously. The first green leaf is soft and new. Tend it, don't strangle it with a plan, don't put it under glass. Just let it know you saw it.

Reversed

The match struck and the wick wouldn't take. The Ace of Wands reversed is the false start, the project that lost its heat by the second day, the idea that came at the wrong hour. Or it's the other thing, the fire scattered across too many small wicks at once. Pick one candle. Lean close. Breathe on it.

In the imagery

In the warm dark a single new shoot rises from a clay pot on the dark wood shelf, one bright green leaf just unfurling toward the candle. A lit taper leans close beside it, and the small flame and the new growth seem to be deciding something together. Everything else hangs dried and waiting, but this one thing is just starting to be alive.
