Upright
Everything that was slow has suddenly gone swift, the letters arriving, the news breaking open, the choices finally made. The hour of weighing and waiting is done. Move with what is already in motion, do not duck what is rushing toward you, some of it lands soft as a gift and some of it lands sharp, most of it is both at once, meet it with open hands.
Reversed
The rush snags and stalls, the message that didn't land, the wires gone crossed. Or the opposite, far too much arriving at once and all of it at the wrong angle. Slow the flood. One thing at a time, said plain and clear.
In the imagery
Eight wands fly low and parallel through the open window into the apothecary, swift as loosed arrows, brushing past the candle flames toward the dark green shelves below. Loose pages and a fallen feather lift in the draft they bring. The arrowing wands and the sudden stir of air carry the meaning, this is rapid movement and news in flight, the long stillness broken all at once.
