Upright
A regal figure on a throne facing left, sword held upright in her right hand, left hand extended in welcome. The Queen of Swords is the mind that's been through enough to know what it knows. Direct, fair, independent — the friend who tells you the truth, the colleague who calls the meeting back to the point. The card honors clarity that has been earned. Take the seat. The sword is yours to hold.
Reversed
The same throne, the same sword, but the warmth gone. The Queen of Swords reversed is clarity turned cold — the truth-teller who forgot kindness is also true. Sometimes it's the opposite: someone who's been hurt so often the sword's been put down, and the boundaries with it. The card asks for both edges of the blade. Honest. Warm. Both.
