Upright
A rider comes through fast, blade up, the candle flames laid flat by the wind of his passing. The Knight of Swords is action with conviction, the argument made cleanly, the decision driven through before doubt can sit down at the table. The card honors the directness, the nerve to charge, and only murmurs after that the horse is moving quick, and you can't always rein up in time once you learn you were aimed the wrong way.
Reversed
The charge gone reckless now, words sharp enough to cut the ones who didn't deserve it, the argument won and the friendship lost in the same breath. Or the opposite, the will stalled and the patience long burned out. Carry the sharpness with kindness in the other hand.
In the imagery
A dark horse and rider burst into the dim apothecary, sword raised, dried herbs swinging from the rafters and the gold light streaking sideways. Bottles tremble on the shelf, a candle gutters, the velvet quiet broken all at once. The whole room tilts toward the doorway with the hard forward rush of the card, conviction moving faster than second thoughts.
