Plum Blossom Divination

Mei Hua Yi Shu, the plum blossom number method, is credited to the Song-dynasty scholar Shao Yong, who is said to have read the future from two birds quarreling over a flower. Nothing is tossed or shaken. Numbers from the moment, or numbers you notice in the world, divide into two of the eight trigrams. The trigram holding the moving line is the matter at hand, the other is you, and the reading is simply how their five elements lean toward or against one another. It is offered here as a way to look plainly at a question, not as a fixed fortune.
