Explore a hexagram's changing picture
Follow six lines into a hexagram, then read its image and any changes as a way to examine a question.

Watch the figure form
Press Cast and watch the six lines appear from the bottom upward. Notice the solid and broken lines, and which ones carry a changing mark.
Read before recasting
Read The judgment, The image, and The reading. If a second hexagram appears, compare the two pictures. Write what seems to be moving before choosing Cast again.
Words to recognize
- Hexagram
- A figure of six lines, made from two groups of three.
- Yin and yang
- The broken and solid line forms used to build the figure.
- Changing line
- A marked line that turns into its opposite in the resulting figure.
