Dreaming of Tree

A flourishing tree, especially one bearing fruit, foretells long life, a strong family, works that outlast you. To rest in its shade denotes protection from a person of substance.

A tree struck, uprooted, or barren warns of loss touching the family's elders, or the failure of a long-nursed hope. Dead branches counsel pruning your affairs before the season turns.

The tree is the Self in its slow, living form, roots in the unconscious, crown in the light, the whole life held in one growing body. A great healthy tree in a dream means the deep process is going well, whether or not the surface days feel like it.

A felled or hollow tree points to growth interrupted, a life force cut off at some earlier ring. Being stuck in the branches, afraid to climb down, is height without ground, spirit that lost its root.
