Dreaming of train
Read two ways. Let them disagree, the truth often sits between.
Artemidorus · Oneirocritica
Drawn up, it speaks of To board and ride in good time, what the old readers knew as the swift carriage, foretells progress in a long matter and companions gathered along the way.
Drawn down, it warns of To miss your passage, or ride one going wrong, warns of delay in your affairs, or of being carried in a direction you did not choose and must soon correct.
Jungian · the collective unconscious
Drawn up, it speaks of The train runs on the collective track, the life of schedules and stations, and to ride one easily means your own path and the world's timetable are, for now, agreeing. Catching it at the last moment is the psyche saying you still made it.
Drawn down, it warns of The missed train, the recurring one, is the fear of a life running on rails laid by someone else, stations passing that you never chose. Ask who wrote the timetable you keep dreaming by.
Did you dream this?
Keep it before it fades
Write the dream down in your journal and the cards will name its symbols for you, or have the whole dream read in full.
