Drawn up, it speaks of The photograph is a moment the psyche has kept, held still so you can finally look at it. To study one in a dream is memory offering itself for review, an old self asking to be seen kindly.
Drawn down, it warns of A fading photograph, faces you can't make out, is a past edited until it no longer tells the truth. A photograph of yourself you don't recognize is the mask caught mid-slip.
