Drawn down, it warns of A moon eclipsed or falling from the sky warns of trouble touching the wife, the mother, or the household's quiet keeper. Affairs that depend on another's goodwill are the ones to watch.

Drawn up, it speaks of The Moon is the anima, the reflective principle of psyche, light that shows by borrowing rather than by glare. A full moon rising means the inner life is turned toward you and speaking, intuition trusted enough to see by.
Drawn down, it warns of A dark or blood-colored moon is the feeling life estranged, gone strange and unread. When the Moon frightens you, some receptive part of yourself has been left out in the cold too long.
