Dreaming of Ghost

The kindly dead appearing in dreams was read as guardianship, counsel from beyond your own reckoning, and a gift from a ghost foretold an unlooked-for inheritance of some kind.

An angry or beckoning ghost warns of an old obligation unmet, a promise to the dead or the absent left unkept, and asks that it be settled before other fortunes turn.

The ghost is the unfinished visiting the finished, memory that hasn't been fully grieved or thanked yet. A gentle ghost is the psyche making room for the dead to be loved without being kept.

A haunting, insistent ghost is business left open, words unsaid, a season you exited without closing the door. It does not want to frighten you, it wants to be dismissed properly, with ceremony.
