Dreaming of Flower
Two traditional perspectives
These are symbolic interpretations from different traditions, not facts about your life or forecasts. Your associations may be different.
Artemidorus · Oneirocritica
Flowers in their season foretell joy, favor, and the goodwill of those you court, in love or in trade. To be given a garland denotes honor arriving.
Flowers out of season or already wilting warn of pleasures that cost more than they give, promises fading fast. To smell a flower and find no scent signals fair appearance over empty substance.
Jungian · the collective unconscious
The flower is feeling made visible, the psyche's brief honest bloom, beauty that doesn't apologize for being temporary. Flowers opening in a dream mean something in you has decided it is safe to be seen.
Cut flowers dying in a vase are feeling severed from its root, loveliness kept for display after the life has been taken out of it. Flowers you hide or crush point to a tenderness you were taught to be ashamed of.
a few quiet questions
A gentle guided reflection
Start wherever you like and skip anything that does not fit. Your notes stay in this page while it is open. They are not sent or saved automatically, and leave with the page when you close or reload it.
To keep your reflection, copy it and paste it into your dream journal (opens in a new tab). Saving there is your choice and requires an account. You can also paste it into your own notebook or notes app.
There is room for the whole story
