Drawn down, it warns of Ears stopped with wax or filled with noise signal slander in circulation, or kin whose warnings have gone unheard too long.

Drawn up, it speaks of The ear is receptivity, the willingness to let the unconscious speak first. Hearing clearly in a dream, even a faint sound, means an inner message is finally getting through.
Drawn down, it warns of Ears blocked, ringing, or covered by your own hands mean a truth is being refused a hearing. Something in you has been talking for a while, and you have been busy.
