Dreaming of Crossroads

To stand at a meeting of roads and take one with a sure step foretells a decision that prospers, and companions found along the chosen way. Offerings seen at the crossing denote the favor of the gods of the road, travel well-omened.

To linger long at the crossing warns of affairs stalled by indecision while others pass you on both sides. To take a road and find it loops back signals counsel taken from the wrong mouth, choose again, and slower.

The crossroads is the psyche at genuine choice, more than a fork, a meeting of ways where the old road runs out of authority. Standing there unhurried means the decision is ripening on its own clock, and every road you can see is one some part of you has already scouted.

Circling back to the same crossroads night after night points to a choice deferred so long it has started choosing for you. A signpost with the names worn off is a life waiting for you to do your own naming.
