Dreaming of Cave

To shelter in a cave from storm denotes timely refuge and the protection of humble means. To find treasure or a spring within foretells hidden resources coming to light.

To be shut in a cave warns of concealment working against you, schemes made in the dark, or a retreat that costs your standing. Long dwelling in caves signals affairs gone secret that ought to be in the open.

The cave is the entrance to the deep unconscious, the underworld door in the hillside of you. To enter carrying a light is the descent taken willingly, and what you find there, bones, paintings, a spring, is old material ready to be brought up.

A cave you're trapped in is a retreat the psyche mistook for shelter, the womb-dark that stopped being rest and became hiding. Something growling from the back of it is shadow asking to be met, not walled in.
