Dreaming of Bread

To eat good bread foretells health and sufficiency, and to give bread denotes a kindness returned to you many-fold in a lean hour.

Bread stale, burnt, or bitter warns of want approaching, or of quarrels at the family table, sustenance present but no longer shared.

Bread is the daily self, the plain sustaining thing, grain gone through fire and become enough. To eat it in a dream, or break it with another, is the psyche fed by ordinary life, no feast needed.

Stale or moldy bread is nourishment neglected until it turned, the simple needs, sleep, food, company, skipped so long they've gone strange. Hoarded bread is love kept to yourself past its keeping.
