From her turning throne Cassiopeia watches for pride, not to punish it, she's in no position, but to recognize it, the parent who brags a little too hard, the maker who says my work is better and means it. She'd tell you the boast wasn't the sin, the not-noticing-who-was-listening was. Say your proud thing, she says, you earned the saying.
