He watches for the almost, that's his post. The bow half-drawn, the letter half-written, the applause you almost gave and swallowed. Crotus was the friend of the Muses, the first to clap, the archer who never needed to loose the arrow to be taken seriously, and from the low summer south he keeps an eye out for people sitting on their delight. Say the kind thing. Cheer for somebody. Aim matters more than the release, but a held breath is not a life. Let some of it out.
