Orion
the hunter
Three stars in a row, that's all you need. Anyone who has ever stood in a cold field in January has found the belt without being taught, and the rest of him unfolds from there, shoulders, knees, the sword hung low. He was a giant once, blinded by a king, healed by walking east until the sun poured light back into his eyes. He hunted everything, said so out loud, and a scorpion the size of his boast came for him. Now he is the first constellation anyone learns. Even his ending made him easy to find.
The small thing you're dismissing deserves your respect.
