Andromeda knows the particular tiredness of being the price of somebody else's pride, the daughter, the quiet one, the collateral. Her constellation climbs the autumn sky like the tide once climbed her, and she keeps one star bright for the moment help shows up sideways, unplanned, from a direction nobody was guarding.
